This past week I’ve seen endless pictures of Kendall Jenner at COACHELLA of Gigi Hadid smooching Cody Simpson at COACHELLA and of course Madonna swallowing Drakes tongue at COACHELLA. Before I see or hear of anything else… someone please tell me, wtf is Coachella? I feel like I’m the first person to admit that I thought it was a fancy way of saying I don’t fly first class I fly Coachella. I’ve never heard of this Californian music festival with the dumb name. And after sniffing around on Facebook it appears a lot of us East Coasters don’t know what the FRIG Coachella is!
T. Hamm wrote, “Sounds like a purse made out of hazelnut.”
T.T.P wrote, “Am sick of seeing it everywhere…I think I would rather endure Burning Man.”
V.Ferentinos. wrote, “I thought Coachella was a small clutch bag evidentially I was wrong.”
Who can blame us for not knowing about this music festival? We New Yorkers are just thrilled we didn’t need a parka to go outside today in this 65 degree weather!
BRAVO to Coachella’s publicist this year.. because you have us all wondering.. wtf is COACHELLA? Click below to see the creepy kiss Madonna gave to Drake and it’s not creepy because she’s in her 50’s but because his reaction is like she bit off his tongue and swallowed it.
Here’s the scoop on the music festival with the handbag name…
What is Coachella? It’s officially called the “Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.” Here’s the official explanation of the event from wikipedia..
“The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (commonly referred to as Coachella or the Coachella Festival) is an annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, located in the Inland Empire‘s Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. It was founded by Paul Tollett in 1999 and is organized by Goldenvoice, a subsidiary of AEG Live. The event features many genres of music, including rock, indie, hip hop, and electronic dance music, as well as art installations and sculptures. Across the grounds, several stages continuously host live music. The main stages are: Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theatre, Gobi Tent, Mojave Tent, and the Sahara Tent; a smaller Oasis Dome was used in 2006 and 2011, while a new Yuma stage was introduced in 2013.”
