Mezcalitas straight from Cabo San Lucas! Carey Reilly with Me, My Selfie & I

IMG_8864I just came back home from Cabo San Lucas with my new favorite MOMTAIL recipe shoved into my passport for you guys. It’s called the Mezcalita! It’s basically a Margharita but instead of Tequila you use Mezcal. Wondering what the heck Mezcal is? Yeah, so was I. Juan at the Las Ventanas al Paraiso, A Rosewood Resort, explained to me that the liquor comes from the agave plant. Mezcal has a smokey flavor to it and is less refined than Tequila. Whatever it is .. it’s delicious. Put this MOMTAIL on your 10am happy hour list.

Pour ingredients over a shaker filled with ice… 

1 ounce lime juice

1 ounce simple syrup

1 ounce mezcal 

Shake ingredients together until your hip cracks then pour into a Margarita glass rimmed with lime and salt.  Then thank me after..
